My Week at London Fashion Week SS17…

It feels like an eternity ago now but the truth is I have just about recovered from London Fashion Week SS17. I fell ill after a week of Fashion shows, meetings, lounges and after parties followed by one too many late nights for a friends birthday. They call it the Fashion Week Flu and it usually comes with a side of broken feet (not literally but they certainly felt like they were!).

Fun Affair

This was my second season of London Fashion Week and although I was lucky enough to also be invited to Paris Fashion week too this time round, I have already learnt not to over do it. Fashion week is totally surreal for me; I have always been immensely interested in fashion and so being able to attend shows has been a goal of mine for years! However, I still totally underestimated how exhausting it can be. This season I tried to only accept invitations I knew I could manage and even then, I couldn’t help but miss a couple.

All the glitterati of the fashion world descend to our city at once and London comes alive with the buzz of fashion shows and the clicks of designer heels on the streets of Soho. The streets and therefore traffic get insanely busy and one is left with no option but to walk- yes, WALK from show to show. I made the mistake of wearing a brand new pair of Gianvito Rossi peep toe booties on the first day and my toes bled from rubbing against the opening because I had to walk an excessive amount. Note to self- Gianvito Rossi Booties are NOT made for walking!

Moaning aside, I loved every minute of the actual shows, parties and lounges. I was lucky enough to be invited by the fabulous team at to retreat from the chaos at their Fashion Week Lounge. Stylists from Jo Hansford were there to have us hair-ready for the shows, there were refreshments and cupcakes to recharge us and plenty of space for us to relax and catch up with work between shows and events.

I noticed a lot of white on the Runways of London Fashion Week SS17 which I love! Lace and frills still seem to be very much on trend(as seen at Cimone & Fun Affair) and stripes are set to make a comeback. One of my favourite shows was Pa5h; it was super sexy and feminine with an hint of sportiness, super wearable off the runway. The show was followed by a super fun after-party at Toy Room; drinks and dancing are the perfect antidote to the stress of Fashion Week!

The above images are from shows I was invited to at London Fashion Week SS17 but I will do a more in-depth trend forecast from all the fashion shows soon. Spring summer 2017 may feel like its far but can you ever plan your wardrobe too far in advance? No.

P.s Follow me on Instagram on see my outfits from London Fashion Week and a huge thank you to every brand that invited me as well as to Look Fantastic for giving us an escape and a fabulous goody bag to go with it! <3
