October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we all have a responsibility to contribute what we can- beauty bloggers and brands included. This year, so many beauty brands have launched limited edition versions of their cult products with a percentage going to charity. I am forever sharing my favourite products and beauty routines with you so I hunted down 5 of my go-to products that will contribute to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation when purchased this month.
I’ve been using these super soft, anti bacterial brushes for a couple of weeks now and am in love! Not only do they feel amazing on the skin, they give me the most flawless finish. I have the Antibacterial Brush Set from which I especially love the Foundation brush for setting my under eye concealer with, but they also sell single brushes. LGFB is the only charity that specifically deals with the visible side effects of cancer treatment. 10% of each sale of the Antibacterial Brush Set goes directly to the charity help fund free confidence-boosting skincare and makeup masterclasses for women affected by Cancer. This is the only brand on the list that does this year round, but there is no better time to buy a set than Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
If you’re an avid reader of the blog, you’ll know I’ve been a little obsessed with face masks recently! They work great as a booster for your skin, whatever your skin is in need of, there is a mask made for it. One of the brands that does masks like no other, is Origins. Their range of face masks has a cult following and it is going from strength to strength with innovative additions to the range all the time. This month, the Drink up Intensive is in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness Month with £4 of each sale going to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The mask prevents dehydration and premature signs of ageing; perfect for this time of year!
The ultimate holy grail serum in my eyes, this will always make its way back into my skincare routine. I am forever trying new brands and products in aid of research but when my skin needs rescuing, this is one of the products I will forever turn to. Estee Lauder’s Night Repair Serum is powerfully restorative and always leaves my skin supple, smooth and radiant. They are donating 20% of each sale to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation from September 2016- June 2017. Get being ladies, I promise you won’t regret it!
GHD are still the ultimate brand in hair styling tools for me; I used my first pair at the age of 16 and have had a pair to hand since. The shape and ergonomics of the Styler make styling your hair a breeze, be it a straight or a wavy look. If not a blow dry, my hair is always styled with GHDs. I use the original styler, the wider version and the Air hairdryer so I am a total fan of the brand! GHD do a lot more than make amazing hair tools though; they have raised over 9 million pounds for Breast Cancer Charities around the world through sales of their limited edition hair tools. This year they have also launched a powerful campaign- ‘You are not defined by your hair’. The campaign features video tutorials for women going through or recovering from Cancer Treatment. £10.00 from each sale of their Electric Pink tools goes to Breast Cancer now to help them reach a total donation of 10 million pounds!
Not something I’ve ever mentioned on the blog before but I am obsessed with Invisibobbles! I find most hair ties seriously uncomfortable and have no idea what I did before I discovered Invisibobbles a couple of years ago. These are the MOST comfortable way to tie up your hair which doesn’t damage or pull your hair, nor leave kinks. I can NOT live without mine and you will often spot mine around my wrist- I need one to hand at all times! Show your support by buying the very pretty, limited edition Pink Heroes version.
We are forever spending money on beauty products, it would be nice to make a couple of our purchases count for something during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I hope you guys will show some support this month 🙂
