Maybe its because 2013 but before this year, I never had to worry about breakouts. I had heard rave reviews of La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo but had never tried it because I didn’t need to worry about breakouts. Of course I’ve had to endure a couple in my life- I did NOT cope well- but was safe most of the time. Then something changed.
It could be because I’ve been busier and more stressed than ever which has lead to a lack of sleep, bad diet and the usual sins or it could be that my skin is just not a resilient as before- because getting older doesn’t come with enough downfalls!
Last month I decided enough was enough and that since excess sebum was clearly going to be a regular visitor I had better take action. I took to the web and researched the best creams out there but in all honesty didn’t want to spend a small fortune on one. I have never had to spend anything on something for breakouts and I guess I was still hopeful it was just a phase so didn’t want it to turn out to be a waste!
The product that caught my attention had amazing reviews and was reasonably priced.
La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo claimed to reduce imperfections resulting in clearer and smoother skin and for around only £13.00! La Roche-Posay is a French brand, uses spring water in its products, is targeted towards problem/sensitive skin and comes highly recommended by many dermatologists. French skincare brands are not widely recognised but many of their products are the secrets of beauty insiders.
I picked it up from my local boots and decided to use it at night as I’m happy with my current skin care routine for the day.
Since I have bought La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo, I have used it religiously; with the exception of one or two nights and it has definitely worked wonders! Not matter how run down or stressed I have been, the break outs haven’t dared return- touch wood!
It is a gel like texture and sinks into the skin well so I don’t have to go to sleep with greasy or sticky skin. It has a pleasant clean smell and I cannot pick any faults with this product. The nights I have failed to apply it, I have cursed at myself when looking in the mirror the next morning. My skin just doesn’t look or feel as smooth and small imperfections do show up.
I am surprised at how effective such a reasonably priced product can be and what a significant difference La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo has made to my skin.
P.s. Boots has 25% off the entire La Roche Posay range at the moment!
