The beginning of a new year calls for a overhaul of many things in life. I’m not here to talk about any soul-deep revelations though- I’m talking about overhauling my wardrobe of scents. My favourite new fragrances for 2017 consist of some of the best fragrance launches of late 2016- I’m sure there will be another update at some point in the year but these are the fragrances I am currently obsessed with…
Marc Jacobs Divine Decadence EDP is the sister fragrance to the original Decadence EDP which went down a storm. Divine Decadence launched in September 2016 and is a lighter, brighter version of the original. One of the swankiest bottles I have ever owned, houses notes of champagne extract, orange blossom, bergamot, gardenia, hydrangea, honeysuckle, saffron, vanilla and amber. Categorised as a floral, woody scent, it is flirty enough to be worn during the day but still sexy enough for the evening. This is the most versatile of my new fragrances for 2017. I’m not usually a fan of anything citrusy in my fragrances but the champagne extract in this counteracts the orange blossom for me perfectly(I’ll take champagne in any form I can get :D). True to its name, this fragrance is the epitome of decadence- certainly not something to turn away from in life!
Elie Saab Le Parfum Éclat D’Or is the prettiest perfume I’ve smelt in a while. A scent with a luminous floral heart which embraces delicious and irresistible tones of Ylang-Ylang, Bergamot, Honey Nectar and Patchouli making it utterly irresistible. It is a delectably sweet fragrance which is fresh with a woody heart- the perfect fragrance for any strong, sensual woman. As with all things so beautiful, it is limited edition- good luck in your search for this one lovelies!
As if I choose fragrances for their gorgeous bottles, Bulgari Rose Goldea is another one that is housed in an unbelievably beautiful bottle. I love the detail, especially the iconic Serpenti design on the bottle which serves well for a perfume from a brand renowned for its jewellery. A semi precious stone-like lid and rose gold details all make it the perfect bottle to display in the boudoir 😉 Pretty bottle aside, Rose Gold is a symbol of love and romance; a tribute to femininity. Expressing the sensual essence of an Egyptian queen, it symbolises the loves of Cleopatra. To wear Rose Goldea is to evoke the love rituals of Egyptian women, with their perfumed garments and aromatic necklaces, those aphrodisiacal seeds that began the culture of fragrance. The resulting magnetic, sparkling and spellbinding fragrance, compromises key notes of pomegranate, rose, jasmine, musks, sandalwood milk and white incense. The utmost feminine scent a woman can wear, it might make my list of essentials for Valentines Day!
Calvin Klein Deep Euphoria EDP is the final addition to my wardrobe of new fragrances for 2017 and is probably the most evening appropriate. Although stronger and more woody, it is still a floral scent with heart notes of jasmine and black rose. Sophisticated and empowered, this fragrance is desirably strong in every way.
Hope your 2017 is going well lovelies! xoxo
