I recently posted about my fragrances of the moment however, I was then yet to try the newest addition to the Narciso family. All of the fragrances from the previous post are still at the front of my shelf and in constant rotation. Each fragrance is for a different mood or effect but each as feminine and alluring as the last. Narciso Eau de ParfumPoudrée however, has added a whole new dimension to my collection… View Post
My hair has been a bit of a state the last few months to say the least. It’s never been as frizzy, weak or limp and if it wasn’t counterproductive, I’d be pulling my hair out out of frustration! If you read the blog regularly, you’ll know how I feel about my hair and surely can imagine my level of distress at the sad state of hairs(affairs…hairs…get it?). Anyway, you can imagine that an email inviting me for a L’Oreal Mythic Oil Treatment at the House of Rush in Picadilly felt like an intervention from above. An answer to all my prayers.
I’ve never been a huge fan of makeup primers- especially not for daily use. The overly silicone-like feel most of them leave on the skin can be particularly uncomfortable on dry/dehydrated skin. I avoided using primers on my skin unless it was a special occasion or I knew I was going to be photographed. Theres no denying the miracles some of the good primers can work in photographs- no pain(or should I say discomfort?), no gain. View Post
For a makeup artist and beauty blogger/writer, my makeup routine is pretty low maintenance(my hair routine- not so much.). I don’t wear makeup everyday; I like to give my skin plenty of time to breathe. I can also put a face of makeup on and go the whole day without touching up or reapplying. I would love to say thats totally down to being a total pro but part of the reason is that I just don’t have the mental capacity to be worrying about it once its done. One thing I do have to constantly worry about however is dry, chapped lips and so I am totally obsessed with my lips, lip treatments and keeping them well moisturised. View Post
A great face of makeup can be ruined if the base isn’t flawless. In my opinion, the way the skin looks is more important than anything else since it is the backbone of the entire look. Recently my foundation of choice for evening/occasion wear has been the Cover FX Custom Cover Drops. I have shared my love for it here but I am yet to get bored of it because of how versatile it is. Cover FX have cleverly increased its versatility and bought the concept bang upto trend with last week’s launch of Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops. View Post
