I’ve never been a huge fan of makeup primers- especially not for daily use. The overly silicone-like feel most of them leave on the skin can be particularly uncomfortable on dry/dehydrated skin. I avoided using primers on my skin unless it was a special occasion or I knew I was going to be photographed. Theres no denying the miracles some of the good primers can work in photographs- no pain(or should I say discomfort?), no gain. View Post

Pure Elixir Beauty Supplement 2Its not news that what we put inside our bodies shows on the outside and that diet has a huge effect on the condition of our skin. I have been incorporating ‘skin super foods’ into my diet for a couple of years now and am totally convinced that what I put inside my body is just as important as what I put on my skin(see my ‘Beauty Smoothie’ recipe here). Evian Flavoured water 2I am an aqua-holic and a total water snob. There, I said it. I have to know which brand of water EVERY restaurant serves before ordering and my levels of hydration are in direct correlation to my mood. Aren’t I SUCH a walk in the park?? One of my top 3 brands is Evian and in fact the brand that I drink most often. I love the taste, how smooth it is and always have a bottle nearby. Imagine my excitement when I was invited to the launch of New Evian Fruits and Plants.  View Post

Dehydrated skin 2Dehydrated skin is a common skin concern but one that is often misunderstood. Dry & dehydrated skin are often confused but very different and it is important to understand that any skin type can become dehydrated. Dehydration is a lack of water, not oil and so oil production can still be normal or even overactive in dehydrated skin. View Post
